Varieties of Slow Signs

Slow signs are typically black-on-yellow, in accordance with MUTCD regulations for warning signs; they’re almost always aluminum, and available in three levels of reflectivity: engineer grade (like most stop signs), high intensity (slightly more reflective, and with an almost geometric grain to replica watches the sign), and diamond grade. Diamond grade doesn’t need much light to be highly visible, but it can produce glare, which makes it less than ideal for some circumstances – check with your local traffic authorities to see what they recommend.
